Copter pilots earn 'Wings' at INS Rajali

As many as 11 Navy pilots and 3 Coast Guard pilots who underwent the helicopter conversion course at the INS Rajali Naval Air Station in Arakkonam, received their coveted ‘Wings’ from the Vice Admiral Bimal Kumar Verma, Chief of Staff, Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command, at a function at the base on Saturday.

As many as 11 Navy pilots and 3 Coast Guard pilots who underwent the helicopter conversion course at the INS Rajali Naval Air Station in Arakkonam, received their coveted ‘Wings’ from the Vice Admiral Bimal Kumar Verma, Chief of Staff, Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command, at a function at the base on Saturday.

A passing out parade was held to mark the graduation of the 80th Helicopter Conversion Course, which comprised 21 weeks of flying and aviation training at the Helicopter Training Schools attached to the naval base. The Governor of Kerala Rolling Trophy for best all-round trainee pilot was awarded to Lt Ankit Sharma.
