Upset Vellore woman hacks paramour to death over wedding alliance

Disheartened that her paramour was going to get married soon, a 38-year-old woman hacked him to death before hanging herself at her house in Chiruvanjipattu near Bramadesam in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased were identified as Chithra(36), wife of Raghupathy, and her paramour, Pandian (29) of the same village, who was her brother-in-law’s son.

A preliminary inquiry into the murder and suicide case revealed that Chithra’s husband Raghunathan was working in a far off place. They had two daughters.
