SIT submits seized items to JM court

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of CB-CID on Tuesday submitted before the court the material seized from the hideout of terror suspects Bilal Malik and ‘Panna’ Ismail in Andhra Pradesh recently.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of CB-CID on Tuesday submitted before the court the material seized from the hideout of terror suspects Bilal Malik and ‘Panna’ Ismail in Andhra Pradesh recently.

Sources said a total of 102 sealed covers, containing the items were confiscated by the SIT sleuths during the joint operation carried out on October 5 at Puttur, to nab Malik and Ismail, the prime accused in the murder case of Hindu Munnani State Secretary S Vellaiyappan.

The evidence were submitted before the JM Court- II in the absence of Judge of JM Court- III P K Siva Kumar. The items have been handed over to the regular court, which stored them in the case property cell, said  the sources. The sleuths have already handed over thebike, which was used by ‘Police’ Fakruddin and his associates for  murdering Vellaiyappan. The police had also sent the revolver seized from Bilal’s hideout to the forensic laboratory in Chennai to find out its origin.
