VELLORE: The Vellore division of the Life Insurance Corporation of India has completed around 2.9 lakh policies with first premium income crossing `254 crore during the year 2013-14.
This was disclosed by the senior divisional manager Y Venkateswarlu at the inauguration of the week-long celebration of its 58th anniversary on Monday.
A new product ‘Jeevan Shagun’ was launched as part of the celebrations. The scheme, a single premium product with benefits, is open for only 90 days.
Collector R Nanthagopal was the chief guest on the occasion.
