Ramadoss Alleges Police Repression on Caste Hindus

Express News Service

CHENNAI:PMK founder, S Ramadoss, on Sunday alleged that police had resorted to violence and repressive measures against the dominant MBC community in Seshasamudram near Sankarapuram in Villupuram and demanded action against them. In a statement, he said clashes occurred between the dominant MBC and SC communities and blamed it on a political outfit. He alleged that the police  without inquiring attacked the MBC people, besides ransacking their houses. He charged the police with resorting to repressive measures on women and children too. “If stones were pelted on the police, it is condemnable. Only after an enquiry, those responsible for the stone-pelting incident can be identified and punished,” he said.  A fact-finding team under advocate K Balu will be dispatched to Seshasamudram and complaints lodged with NHRC and SHRC.
