Express News Service

PUDUCHERRY: Alliance Francaise, Puducherry, and Amaranta Entertainment will be jointly organising a four-day musical extravaganza with electronic, strings and vocals from February 12-15 .

A variety of musical genres ranging from jazz to blues, from rock to pop amid patchwork of Caribbean gospels and the rhythmic strains of world music would be played during the event to be held at the Kamban Kalai Arangam.

Suraj Mani, the Tattva Tripper, an emotionally engaging and prolific rock poet, would attempt to leave behind footprints of acoustic poetry followed by a young and dynamic Indie rock named Skrat.

February 13 would glow in blazing “Orange Rock” a special brandname from Mad Orange Fireworks, sending sparks and rays of light from jazz, funk and rock,  slowly giving way to an energised blues rock band called Ministry of Blues, reintroducing a century-old music format into sheer excitement and intensity of modern times.

February 14 would see the merger of  Indian and French specialists in a tango of fusion from sophisticated Latin rhythms to contemporary jazz. Latination would build up to a euphoric whirlwind grappling everyone in its path and then making way for the F16s, an abundance of energy, youth and unstoppable electronic sound. The band erupts in a tempest of pure energy mixing rock, Indie and unpredictable jingles.
