Bomb Near Hindu Outfit Man's House

CUDDALORE:A petrol bomb was found near the house of a Hindu outfit functionary near Vriddhachalam on Wednesday morning.

Senthil (37), State secretary of Akhila Bharath Hindu Mahasabha, is a resident of Kovilanur village near Mangalampettai. When he woke  up in the morning, he was rattled to to see a petrol bomb near his house and immediately informed the Mangalampettai police.

Police rushed to the spot and seized the explosive. A sniffer dog was pressed and forensic experts examined the bomb and the spot for fingerprints traces.

“It is a petrol-filled liquor bottle with a wick. The sniffer dog did not move anywhere from the house premises. We have also questioned Senthil and his neighbours. Preliminary investigations are on. We are awaiting the forensic reports for further investigations,” a police official said.

Mangalampettai police registered a case based on a complaint from Senthil and are investigating.
