CHENNAI: AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today removed senior leader Nanjil Sampath from the post of party's Deputy Propaganda Secretary.

Sampath "is being relieved from the post of Deputy Propaganda Secretary of AIADMK," Jayalalithaa said in a party statement without assigning any reason for her decision.

Sampath, a former firebrand MDMK leader, had switched over to the ruling party in 2012 and was immediately rewarded with the key post then.
