CHENNAI: Thanking voters who handed the AIADMK victory in three Assembly segments in Tamil Nadu and for supporting the candidate in Nellithope in Puducherry, party supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa said her joy knew no bounds and that her party will continue to live up to their expectations.

Reacting to the election results, Jayalalithaa, recuperating at the Apollo Hospitals, said, “The poll victory, you have handed me while recuperating at the hospital, gives immense pleasure and encouragement.” The Chief Minister, in a statement released on Tuesday, assured that she would live up to the expectations of the voters, who have once again proved that they are siding with her, in discharging her duties in a commendable manner as always. She also thanked the AIADMK’s cadre, office-bearers and leaders of alliance parties for heeding her instructions in carrying out election work.
