CHENNAI: “No religion will teach you to hate another religion. If any religion teaches you to hate another religion, you have to leave that religion and choose another religion,” said Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali, Dewan to Prince of Arcot.

Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali was speaking at a felicitation-cum-awarding function of IIT JEE 2018 rankers organised by FIIT JEE Chennai Centre on Sunday.

“Children should understand we are living as one and will always be one. At present we are controlled by the media. The media is controlling us day and night. What you see in media is what you believe it is, whether it is true or not. Media shows the truth, no doubt (about it). But there are certain things we have to verify before we believe it,” said Asif Ali.

“We are being divided in the name of religion. There is no Hindu, Muslim or Christian. Whatever are you, it is a personal choice. If you come out on road, first you are an Indian, a good human being,” he added.
