Three Chennai students end lives in separate incidents

CHENNAI: Three students allegedly ended their lives in separate incidents in the city on Tuesday.
Sri Hari, 19, of Ice House was studying second year B.Tech in a private college in Thanjavur. “He had come to the city a few days ago and resided along with his mother. On Tuesday evening, he allegedly ended his life at his house,” said a police source.

The incident came to light, when his mother returned home in the evening. In another incident, 19-year-old Kalaivani of Madhavaram, a student of a private college committed suicide. Police said, the girl was believed to be in a relationship with a man. “Recently, the duo decided to end ties but however, the man kept disturbing her. Upset over this, she decided to end her life.”

Similarly, at Ernavoor, a Plus One student Sandhya, who was home alone ended her life on Tuesday. Police said, the girl never went to school for two days and on Tuesday she committed suicide.
