CHENNAI: Justice M Sathyanarayanan will deliver his judgment in the 18 MLAs’ disqualification case at the Madras High Court in Chennai on Thursday at 10.30am.

The case was listed for judgment late Wednesday night. Justice Sathyanarayanan was nominated by the Supreme Court on June 27 as the third judge to decide the politically significant case after an HC bench of then Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice M Sundar delivered a split verdict on June 14. In anticipation of the verdict being delivered this week, the 18 MLAs have been camping at a resort in Courtrallam.

The ruling AIADMK government in the State will be closely watching the developments as its fate may well hang in the balance.
