HYDERABAD: TRS leader Karne Prabhakar was nominated as Member of Legislative Council of Telangana under Governor’s quota. The State government issued a GO in this regard on Monday.
As per Section 23 of the AP Reorganisation Act-2014, six seats each have been allocated to AP and Telangana under Members to be nominated by the Governor and in the fourth schedule to the said Act, five existing members were allotted to AP and three to Telangana. Two of those three MLC posts were filled by Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Sabavat Ramulu Naik and on Monday the third vacant seat was filled with Prabhakar under Governor’s quota for Telangana Legislative Council.
