HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao enhanced the amount to be given for Muslim brides. Muslim girls who are going to marry will get Rs 51,000 instead of earlier Rs 25,000.
Hitherto, the government is purchasing arriage items and giving them to Muslim girls. As there was a large scale corruption in it, Chief Minister Rao decided to deposit the money directly in the bank accounts of Muslim girls. He also decided to enhance the amount from Rs 25,000 to Rs 51,000.
The Chief Minister had announced Kalyana Lakshmi programme for Tribal girls, which will give Rs 51,000 for wedding.
