Telangana SSC results out, urban students remain at the bottom

The Urban students who always come out with the flying colours in the competitive exams have remained right at the bottom in the SSC public examination results which were announced here on Wednesday.

Releasing the results, Kadiyam Srihari, the deputy Chief Minister of Telangana who also holds education portfolio said that the Warangal district secured the highest pass percentage of 95.13 per cent and Hyderabad the least with 76.23.

While Ranga Reddy district with 82.07 pc was confined at the second last position , Adilabad district with 82.23 pc at the third position from the last.

While the overall pass percentage of regular candidates in the state is 85.63, the pass percentage of girls ( 86.57) is slightly better than the boys (84.70). When compared with last year’s pass percentage of 77.56, there is an increase of 8.07 pc this year.

The exam which were conducted from March 21, 2016, to April 9, 2016, were attended by 5, 55, 265, of which 5, 19, 494 are regular candidates and 35, 771 are private candidates.

This year a total of 2379 schools secured 100 pc results and 10 schools, including eight private schools and one each government and aided schools secured zero pass percentage.

The BC welfare schools secured highest percentage of passes i.e 96.84 per cent and the government schools secured lowest percentage i.e 77.80.

Coming to the community wise pass percentage in regular candidates, students belonging to Backward Class community topped the chart with 87.17 followed by OC (84.89), ST (84.07), and SC (82.50) candidates.
