HYDERABAD: The state government will not hesitate to change the proposals contained in the draft notification on reorganisation of districts if they are inconvenient to people, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said.
Interacting with people’s representatives from Mahbubnagar and Warangal districts at his camp office here on Friday, Rao said that the new districts were proposed only for the convenience of the people. “If the draft proposals are inconvenient to the people, the government will not hesitate to change them,” he said. He advised leaders of other political parties not to put forward fresh proposals for political reasons. “People’s representatives should think only in terms of convenience of people. Make proper suggestions in that direction to the task force on reorganisation of districts,” he said. On development of Mahbubnagar, Rao said a golden era would dawn on the district in the coming days. “All the ongoing irrigation projects are nearing completion. Soon Palamuru will transform into the twin Godavari districts of AP,” he said.
