Telangana minister directs officials to make Aadhar linking compulsory for vehicle registration 

There are about 95 lakh vehicles in the state. There are, large number of transfers of vehicles. Make 'Aadhar compulsory for vehicle registration and transfers,' the press release read.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister for Transport P Mahendar Reddy today directed officials to make linking of owner's Aadhar number compulsory for vehicle registration and transfer.     

A press release from the minister's office said that Reddy today held a meeting with the transport department officials, where he asked them to take steps to make the state accident-free.     

"There are about 95 lakh vehicles in the state. There are large number of transfers of vehicles. Make Aadhar compulsory for vehicle registration and transfers," the release quoted the minister as telling the officials.
