HYDERABAD: While mentioning that Hyderabad has the second largest presence of five most valuable companies in the world outside their own headquarters in the US, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao tried to further sell ‘brand Hyderabad’ during the first day session of GES 2017.

While delivering the inaugural speech at the global meet, Rao explained how Telangana has been ranked first among other states in Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings , brought out by the Central government and the World Bank.

“Under our Industrial Promotion Policy, which is called TS-iPASS, it is now mandatory by law that all approvals have to be given within 15 days. The unique feature of this policy is that in case the approval does not come in 15 days, it is deemed to be given,” the chief minister said.  He informed that in the last three years, the government had given approvals to 5,469 industrial units with a total investment of $ 17.5 billion and created over 4,000 jobs.
