PEDDAPALLI: TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had lost moral ground to continue in power after the exposure made in the report of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) that there are discrepancies in the allocation and spending in various sectors in the Budget.
“The State government borrowed huge loans to pay to Andhra contractors while putting the future of Telangana children at stake. Future generations of Telangana would be forced to clear the huge loan burden being put by KCR for his own personal gains. This is clear following the CAG report,” Uttam said. Addressing a public meeting at Peddapalli on the second day of second phase of Congress Praja Chaithanya Bus Yatra on Monday, Uttam said that the countdown had begun for the CM’s downfall, “as people had decided to throw out his government in the next polls.”
“KCR’s continuance as Chief Minister is a threat to the entire democracy. KCR has shown utter disrespect to Assembly which is considered as temple of democracy. By enacting the drama of attack on Council Chairman to prevent Congress legislators from entering the House, the CM has insulted people who elected their representatives. Nothing happened in Assembly,” he said. He asked the CM to explain why Advocate General Prakash Reddy had resigned from the post. Uttam said that farmers’ welfare would be the top priority for Congress government.
