HYDERABAD: Asifabad district, which was ranked 100 in baseline rankings released in last March by the NITI Aayog, has made a significant improvement in the past two months and stood at 15th position in the list of Delta rankings announced by the Centre’s policy think tank, while Khammam district stood at 11th place.
NITI Aayog released first Delta ranking of aspirational districts in New Delhi on Friday. In pre and post-natal care, Bhupalpally was one among the 10 districts that performed well across the country. “It is heartening to note here that Bhupalpally, which stood at 100th rank in the baseline rankings (Health & Nutrition) earlier has now made significant improvement and stood at 4th place in pre & post-natal care,” Aayog stated.
Among the top ten districts, which performed well in achieving the goal of “no hunger” by improving agricultural productivity in a sustainable manner, Khammam is positioned at 5th rank, while Asifabad stood at least improved districts’ list. Bhupalpally performed well in net sown area, micro-irrigation and rejuvenation of water-bodies under MNREGA.
