After Balle Vellaiyathevaa (2016), Sasikumar has signed his next titled Kodi Veeran. Directed by Muthiah of Komban (2015) fame, we hear this too is a rural-based project like the actor’s previous ones. According to sources, the shoot will begin in Sivagangai next month. “As of now only Sasikumar has been finalised. Talks are on to finalise the rest of the cast. We’ll know more details in a couple of weeks,” informs a source. Earlier it was said that Muthiah was in talks with Suriya for a rural entertainer. The project couldn’t materialise as Suriya was busy with other commitments. They may team up after Kodi Veeran is over. The grapevine has it that Lyca Productions may bankroll this film. However, official confirmation is awaited. Lyca had earlier purchased the rights of Sasikumar’s Vetrivel (2016).
