It’s not often you hear Shankar rave about a film directed by a newcomer, in particular on his micro-blogging site. A lot of celebrities had good words to say about the recently-released Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, and the 2.o filmmaker, was the latest to have appreciated it. He wrote on Twitter, “Dhuruvangal 16, a well-made suspense thriller, with strong belief in the script. Cheers to director Karthick, DoP editor Sujith, Rahman and team.” Well, this cop-thriller, directed by 21-year-old Karthick Naren, was completed in 28 days. Except Rahman, the film had all new faces. When City Express spoke to Rahman, we learnt that he was Karthick’s only choice.
