Parvatii Nair has become a popular actress in both Tamil and Telugu industries. Malayalam cinema, however, seems to have taken a back seat. She says that’s because she has been waiting for the right script.

“I love doing Malayalam movies. I wonder if the directors in Mollywood are aware of my existence,” she laughs. She has, however, signed director Jayan Vennery’s Anuragam, an anthology. “It is a beautiful script. All the four movies are love stories and each has a different flavour and tone to it. I play a girl who in a very serious relationship,” she says.

She is paired opposite Anson Paul in the film. Her last Malayalam release was James and Alice in 2016. Though she is now beginning to take up Malayalam projects, Parvatii Nair agrees she is partial towards Tamil films.

“I relate to the industry a lot more perhaps because I am more popular there. My last movie, Enkitta Mothathe, earned good reviews. Also, the way Tamil and Telugu industries treat an actress is very encouraging,” she adds.

Parvatii says that 2017 has a lot more in store.“I am doing a big-banner Tamil movie, which is yet to be announced. It will happen soon.”

She will also be seen in two Telugu movies, Shoban Babu, opposite Rahul  Ravindran, and a yet-to-be-titled movie, with Adivi Sesh in the lead.
