Vikram’s son Dhruv is making his entry into Tamil cinema with the remake of Arjun Reddy, the super hit Telugu film which released earlier this year. Vikram took to his official Instagram profile to reveal that director Bala will be helming this remake.

“Presenting the director par excellence who will present Dhruv to the world,” posted Vikram after running a puzzle which put social media in a frenzy as people tried to guess who the director might be. Bala and Vikram have previously collaborated on Sethu (1999) and Pithamagan (2003). With the Tamil and Malayalam remake rights procured by E4 Entertainment, it’s not yet clear whether the film will be a bilingual. Bala, meanwhile, has completed the shooting of Jyotika’s Naachiyaar which is planned for release in December.
