HYDERABAD: Malkajgiri MP CH Malla Reddy embarrassed him before TRS MP K Kavitha.
While celebrating Malla Reddy Engineering College for Women’s anniversary at Medchal, the MP, who had won on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) ticket in 2014 polls and later crossed over to TRS, , after giving a speech, inadvertently shouted, “Jai TDP”, instead of “Jai TRS.” Students and dignitaries present on the stage had a hearty laugh at that. Thereafter, the MP corrected his mistake by saying “Jai Telangana and Jai TRS.”
Taken aback by the off-the-cuff remark, MP Kavitha, who was the chief guest at the function, said, “Malla Reddy anna seems to be unable to sever his ties with his old party. I am also at fault because today I draped a yellow (the colour of the TDP).”
