The first impression of the massive replica of the Jama Masjid and waiters dressed as courtesans certainly upped our expectations of what the night of the launch of Jazeera chain of restaurants could offer. But M Zahid, Chairman and Managing Director, Jazeera Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, tells us this is just a modest glimpse of what’s in store. He is certain that Jazeera will be an oasis of the finest Mughlai cuisine and will serve its guests from October 1 in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and Agra. Soon, 100 more restaurants of the chain will open across the country.

The recipes have been derived from ancient manuscripts—the Akbarnama, Ain-i-Akbari, Alwan-e-Nemat, Rukat-e-Alamgiri and Ni’amatnamah—that comprise the culinary preferences of the many Mughal emperors. They will all be authentic and well presented.

The  launch party was attended by Raza Murad, Kirron Kher, Huma Qureshi,   Jagdish Tytler, Yoganand Shastri, Anand Sharma and many others.
