Modern and contemporary Indian art is doing well even when globally art is said to be going through a recession. The reason can best be prescribed to the fact that works of Indian artists has potential of appreciating in value and has many takers from India and abroad. Amit Vadera and Gaurav Karan of Crayon Capital Art launched their show, Modern and Contemporary Indian Art, with a big bash. The exhibition is on at their gallery till April 20.
The show has works of masters like M F Husain, F N Souza, S H Raza and Ram Kumar. It also exhibits works of ‘modern masters’ like Anjalie Ela Menon, A Ramachandran, Ganesh Pyne and ‘Utensil Canvas’ of stalwart Subodh Gupta and Thukral & Tagra.
In attendance were fashion designers Gauri and Nainika Karan, Varun Bahl, Pia Pauro, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Gaurav Gupta, Manav Gangwani, socialites Tanisha Mohan, Arjun Sharma, Anita Bajaj, Soni Aggarwal, and Amol Vadera.
