He stands there in the centre, illuminating the 26,500 bells stuck to his body. Hanuman has been seen in many avatars, but never in this kind of modern world incarnation. Awakening, by Charuvi Design Labs, that creates 2D and 3D animated content, has put up an enormous installation of Hanuman at Select CityWalk, Saket, announcing the onset of the festive season.
The bells signify harmony and golden colour is a metaphor for radiance and calmness. ‘‘This exhibition demonstrates rise of the legend in an interactive and engaging manner giving you a panoramic and awe-inspiring vista, which possibly will espouse you to awakening,” says Charuvi Agrawal, the CEO and director of the company, adding, “Illuminated like the mighty Hanuman, who is a symbol of power and loyalty, a true warrior and a devotee, submissive yet free, the epitome of hope; one who is aware of his soul and is worshipped and followed by all,” she says.
Put up to attract audiences of all kinds, figurines of characters from the movie, Shri Hanuman Chalisa, in 3D have also been put on display, alongside a separate film on the making of this particular work. On view till October 5.
