A satire based on a true story, Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho, by journalist-turned-director Vinod Kapri impressed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at a special screening organised for him. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, AAP member Kumar Vishwas and actor Ravi Kishan too enjoyed it to the hilt.

The team of Miss Tanakpur… was in the city too. Hrishitaa Bhatt, who made a comeback after a long hiatus, was there with Annu Kapoor, Ravi Kishan and Rahul Bagga. Kapri said, “This is a social satire which is entirely inspired by a real life incident in Haryana. So, I went to that village, investigated the story, met the panchayat pradhan, police officers, judges, and lawyers, and found it so interesting that I thought it could make a good satire.”

Bhatt and Bagga shared interesting anecdotes from the shooting. They laughed about how the bovine star, Miss Tanakpur, didn’t bother to take a dump when the director would say, “action”. The film that released this Friday was also liked by Amitabh Bachchan and Raju Hirani who saw it in Mumbai.
