NEW DELHI:As NDA government completes two years in the office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got a thumbs up from people. 62 per cent has liked his performance as PM, according to a report assessing NDA government’s performance.

The performance appraisal by Centre for Media Studies, found that nearly 70 per cent people, who took part in survey want Modi to get a second term as PM. They also recognised his efforts to improve India’s stand globally as well as improving administration at home. The sample size was of 4,000 people, across 15 states.

Nearly two-third respondents feel that the focus of Modi is on development and national perspective. Modi’s effort to improve India’s stand globally (69 per cent) as well as improving administration at home (50 per cent) has been appreciated.

On being enquired about fulfillment of promises made by Modi, less than one-third feel that they have been fulfilled and around 48 per cent feel that promises have been fulfilled only partially. 44 per cent feel that corruption has declined during the last two years.

NDA ministers’ performance was also analysed and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj topped the list among best performing ministers.
