BJP MP Anurag Thakur on Friday alleged in the Lok Sabha that Tamil Nadu has “become a symbol of anti-Sanatan Dharma,” accusing state ministers of repeatedly making statements against Sanatan Dharma.

Citing the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court’s criticism of the state government over the Karthigai Deepam lamp issue, Thakur questioned why devotees were allegedly “lathi-charged” and stopped from entering the temple despite a court order.
