Congress moves privilege motion against PM Modi over attack on Opposition in national address

Congress MP K C Venugopal moved a privilege motion against PM Modi in Lok Sabha, alleging he breached parliamentary privilege in his national address on April 18. Venugopal alleged that Modi 'cast aspersions' on the members for doing their duty. He also said Modi's takedown of the opposition severely undermined the authority of Parliament and people's rights. The letter was submitted to Speaker Om Birla to take action against such violations.
