TN CM Vijay orders legal follow-ups on controversial Mekedatu dam issue

Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay advised legal follow-ups on the Mekedatu dam issue on May 25. The development came after Vijay held a meeting with experts on the Cauvery water dispute. Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said that a project report will be submitted for the center's approval. The state government proposed a groundbreaking ceremony for the dam construction once approved. The dispute is a long-standing issue among Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Keralam, and Puducherry.
