Communist Party of India (Marxist) veteran and general secretary Sitaram Yechury has died at the age of 72. He breathed his last at 3.03 pm at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi on September 12. The septuagenarian was hospitalized on August 19 for an acute respiratory tract infection.
