Lok Sabha MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticised the Waqf Board Bill by the BJP government. He accused the BJP and the RSS of spreading false propaganda on the Waqf properties. He further pointed fingers at the Narendra Modi government for violating Article 26 of the Indian Constitution by interfering in religious affairs and targeting Muslim properties through the bill.
