BJP leader K Annamalai visited Karur General Hospital and talked to those injured in the Karur stampede. He criticised the State Government and demanded a CBI enquiry instead of the Justice Aruna Jagadeesan enquiry commission. On behalf of the BJP, he announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh for each of the deceased
