At least 19 killed due to heavy showers thunderstorm in Karachi

Karachi was hit by heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds, causing widespread destruction overnight. The severe weather led to multiple incidents across the city. At least 19 people were killed due to roof collapses, electrocution, and falling trees. SSP Sanghar Malik said 12 died in a telephone exchange collapse in Mochko Goth, Saeedabad. DIG Asad Raza confirmed more deaths in Korangi, Malir, and Landhi. Mayor Murtaza Wahab urged residents to stay indoors as more rain is expected.
