Canary Islands: Lava from volcano reaches the Atlantic Ocean

Lava from an erupting volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma has reached the Atlantic Ocean. During the last 36 hours, the lava has already covered more than 25 acres at sea. This is equivalent to an area bigger than 25 football pitches. Since it began on September 19, the dramatic volcanic eruption has forced thousands out of their homes.
