'Blizzard of the century' leaves over 50 dead across US

A ‘once-in-a-generation’ snowstorm dubbed the "blizzard of the century has brought vast swathes of the US to a halt. Americans have been forced into the confines of their homes during and after Christmas as the extreme weather has left thousands without power for days together. So far, the storm has killed 27 people in New York and at least 60 across the whole of the United States.
