BEIRUT: At least 14 people were killed on Thursday in a car bombing in Syria's coastal city of Jabla, a bastion of the regime, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor said.

Syrian state television also reported the blast, blaming it on a suicide bomber and saying there were at least nine dead and 25 wounded.
