Trump trade chief rules out US return to TPP

HANOI: The United States will not return to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), Washington's trade chief Robert Lighthizer said Sunday, as the 11 other countries involved scrambled to save the free trade deal. 

The US "pulled out of the TPP and it's not going to change that decision", Lighthizer told reporters at a meeting of Asia-Pacific trade ministers in Vietnam.
