THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Cooperative Federation for Fisheries Development Ltd (Matsyafed) has started an air-conditioned hi-tech fish mart in Palayam. The fish mart is located close to the Horticorp stall and is near the eastern end of the University Stadium.
Apart from fresh fish, dressed fish items prepared in hygienic conditions will be available in the stall on all weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm. On Sundays, the mart will close by 2 pm. Fresh fish is being procured from Neendakara for daily sale. The mart will also cater to bulk orders for parties and commercial purposes if they are placed in advance. The fish items are pegged at reasonable prices, according to a press note issued by the Federation.
