With Simbhu, always expect the unexpected! Living up to  his reputation of making films at a pace that suits him, and sometimes only him, the Osthe actor has announced that his movie Vettai Mannan, which has been in the making for over a year now, will hit screens only after a new film that he has just started, Vaalu.

In Vettai Mannan, the actor teams up with Jai, Deeksha Seth and Hansika Motwani, with the latter playing a gangster. The film was announced in 2012, went on floors early last year, but seems nowhere near completion. The action thriller is being directed by debutant Nelson. It seems like this film may not hit the screens anytime this year.

But that still doesn’t bring Vettai Mannan any closer to Simbhu’s longer-in-the-making Poda Podi, which now will be the actor’s next release. In the movie, the actor plays Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s love interest.

“Poda Podi will release first, followed by Vaalu for Diwali and Vettai Mannan for Pongal,” the actor has posted on a microblogging site. Poda Podi, said to be a romantic musical helmed by Vignesh Shiva, began even before STR’s 2011 flick Vaanam.Vaalu, produced by NIC Arts, will see the Simbhu-Hansika Motwani pair again, and is said to be a laugh riot. Shoot for the film began this week.
