Pomp Marks Wedding of Ministers' Scions

NELLORE: Grandeur marked the wedding of municipal administration minister P Narayana’s daughter P Sarani with state human resources development minister Ganta Srinivas Rao’s son G Ravi Teja at Narayana Medical College Grounds in Chinthareddypalem village of Nellore Rural mandal on Friday. The couple tied knot at 10.15 pm. Chief minister N Chandra Babu Naidu, ministers D Umamaheswara Rao, P Sunitha, Sidha Raghava Rao, K Srinivas, Ayyanna Pathrudu, Y Ramakrishnudu, B Gopala Krishna Reddy, Hindupur MLA N Balakrishna and several MLAs, MPs and MLCs attended the marriage and blessed the couple.

Naidu, who conducted a whirlwind tour in the district in the day, later held a review meeting with the officials of irrigation and health departments till 9 pm and then attended the marriage for half-an-hour, even as the police made adequate security arrangements for him from Pinakini Guest House to Narayana Medical College. Traffic was diverted at various points in the city following the 60-vehicle convoy of the chief minister to Chinthareddypalem.

The village, located about 6 km from Nellore city, usually wears a deserted look. But now, it turned highly hectic with a large number of people attending the marriage by swanky sedans. The stretch from Haranathapuram Centre to Chinthareddypalem was brightly lit with colourful lights.
