CHENNAI: A lecture aimed at dicussing recent advancements in the field of  Atomic Energy was organised by the department of Science and Humanities at Sree Sastha College of Engineering recently. The chief guest of the occasion  J Daniel Chellappa, senior scientist, BARC, department of Atomic  Energy delivered a lecture on ‘Overview of Indian Nuclear Energy Programmes’ and its importance for the growth of the Indian economy. He talked about the development in the field of nuclear reactors and associated technologies. He also talked about the safety of nuclear energy in the country.
