Layout Minimum Area Norm Relaxed

HYDERABAD:The state government has relaxed the minimum area stipulation for layout development from 10 acres to one acre to check the development of unauthorised layouts in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits.

The department of municipal administration and urban development (MAUD) issued the orders on Friday after examining of the proposal of HMDA metropolitan commissioner and accordingly in super session of the earlier regulation had issued  new order that the minimum area for layout development would be one acre.However, the layout owners, developers have to pay differential development charges, which include 1.75 times of he prevailing development charges in respect of layouts between one and 5 acres, and 1.5 times the prevailing development charges in respect of layouts between five and 10 acres.
