Director Sumana Kittur is on a high with her film, Edegaarike - The Guts being the only Indian film to be selected for Mumbai Women’s International Festival, which will take place from October 8 to 14.

Director Sumana Kittur is on a high with her film, Edegaarike - The Guts being the only Indian film to be selected for Mumbai Women’s International Festival, which will take place from October 8 to 14. “I was taken by surprise when the coordinator of the Festival called to ask me whether had I read the announcement made on the website. I was told that Edegaarike was to be screened at this Women’s Festival. I was appreciated for my work. Though my film has been to many festivals, being part of a Women’s International Festival is really thrilling.

"I heard that the jury members being only women writers have chosen Edegaarike among all films directed by women," she says.

Meanwhile Sumana is taking time to come up with her next project. “Film is all about good scripts, producers and artistes, and I can start only when all these come together,” she says.
