We have heard of directors or actors reshooting a few portions of their film if they feel it works well for the project, but very rarely do we hear of an actor requesting a redubbing. But Manoranjan has done so, for his second movie.

First the movie’s title was changed a few times before the filmmakers settled on Bruhaspati, which was officially announced during the Deepavali week. The new poster sees the actor wearing a look that appeals to the mass audience.

The team, along with Manoranjan, is back at the dubbing studio and the the actor himself offers an explanation for his unique request. He tells City Express, “When my brother Vikram and I watched a few portions after dubbing, we felt that I have replicated Dhanush’s style. The director Nanda Kishore rightly pointed out that this will only suit the Tamil actor, and that I have to bring in my own style and do something that sits well with our audience.

I want people to see Manu and Nanda Kishore’s work in Bruhaspati. Also people who have watched Saheba felt that I should improve my diction, which was also in my mind. Considering all of this, I decided to redub the portions and went back to the studio.

I have four more days to go.” The team is now gearing up to release the motion poster, and will follow it up with an audio launch. The movie will be out in theatres in December. Made under Rockline Productions, Bruhaspati has music by  V Harikrishna and cinematography by Sathya Hegde.
