Malayalam superstar Mohanlal on Wednesday launched the title of Priyadarshan's upcoming Tamil directorial starring Udhayanidhi Stalin. 

Mohanlal attended the title launch function in Chennai and wished the film turns out to be a success for both director Priyadarshan and actor Udhayanidhi Stalin.

The movie is the official remake of Malayalam superhit 'Mahshinte Prathikaaram' which starred Fahadh Faasil, Sijith and Aparna Balamurali in the lead.

''Nimir' stars Namitha Pramod, J Mahendran, Samuthirakani, Parvatii Nair, Karunakaran and MS Bhasker.

According to director Priyadarshan, it was director and now actor J Mahendran who had suggested the title 'Nimir' for the movie.

The film was shot in Tenkasi, Kuttralam, Chennai and Dubai.

Santhosh Kuruvilla has bankrolled the project under 'Moonshoot Entertainment'.
