JD(S) not interested in SM Krishna, says Deve Gowda

JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda ruled out inviting senior politician SM Krishna, who recently quit the Congress party.

HUBBALLI: H D Deve Gowda the Janata Dal (Secular) supremo ruled out inviting senior politician SM Krishna, who recently quit the Congress party, into his fold, here, on Monday.

Reacting on Krishna's exit from the Congress, Deve Gowda told reporters, "I don't know what is in his mind. He (Krishna) has already clarified on the circumstances that lead him to quit the party. Moreover, he is a more seasoned politician and knows better about the future steps he should take".

When asked about the JD (S) pulling Krishna in their fold, Gowda said, such a thought has not come yet. Moreover, he would not extend any invitation to Krishna to join his party, he added.

Mahadayi Dispute

To questions on the Mahadayi dispute, he said his party has taken up the issue on all possible platforms. "If the situation demands, I would not hesitate to sit in a dharna in front of the Prime Ministers Office," he said.
